Can This Golfaholic Eventually Learn How To Break 80?
Yes, it's possible that I have a difficulty with golf. Nope, I am not talking about correcting a hook or a cut. I'm talking golf dependence. Perhaps that's the reason why I write this blog. Of course , they are saying that admitting you've a problem is the first step towards recovery.
But what exactly is it that makes the game such a crucial part of our lives. Most like the proven fact that golf enables us to be at one with nature. Some of the most lovely spots in the world happen to be golfing courses. Did you see the overhead shots of Pebble Beach during the US Open?
Therefore while playing the game you can take in some fantastic scenery. And, I think that surrounding yourself with gorgeous scenery is a way to reduce stress. Also, it's a very challenging and difficult sport. Personally, I may only hit three or 4 pure shots in a round of 18 holes.
Pro Opinion
People who know a lot more about the psychology of this than I, know that eventualities which reward us sporadically can become very fascinating and possibly addictive. No doubt about it, golf would be far less appealing if we all learned how to break 80. You can compare it to betting or fishing.
Fishermen can come home empty numerous times in a row, but the dream of that one large catch will keep them going back to the lake. And one lucky day in a casino can incentivize the gambler time and time again to come back to the tables.
The Quest for a Lower Handicap
Golf is also a game in which you never hit the same shot twice. Your lie isn't the same. The distance from your target changes, the wind changes and the pin isn't in the same spot. This variety adds to the physical and mental challenges the game offers. So as to play the game well, you have got to master a huge range of shots and many alternative clubs.
The complexity of golfing gives rise to new equipment and technology.
Golfers are "gadget-oriented" and at all times ready to play around with the newest innovations in equipment in their neverending quest for a lower handicap.

And do not forget, you can play a round of golf into old age. You do not truly need to be concerned with career ending injuries like you do with other sports. 18 holes is also a nice way to bond with family, chums, colleagues and neighbours. You can follow your round with lunch or dinner, maybe a cocktail or two and some gin or poker.A day put aside for golf can have the same relaxing benefir of a mini-vacation.
And many of us like to look at the game on TV. really fun to follow my favourite players and feel part of the competition. I like to imagine myself swinging the club the way that they do.
It's a very appealing game and it's easy to see how it can become addicting for some. But c'mon, there are far worse things that you can be hooked on (trust me on this one).
