Brand New Exciting Australian Clothing Fashion Label
Cameo the Label is a new Australian fashion label which has been catapulted into the spotlight in the present twelve months. Cameo clothing is especially popular for its Cameo dress. Talented head designer Kathryn Forth saw a gap in the market for edgy, keenly priced and designer-inspired attire. Each collection brings feminine designs, bold detailing and a really unique aesthetic. Cameo carries on expanding with now over 400 retail stockists across Australia, UK, US, New Zealand and Indonesia.
The December 2011 collection, Infinite Sands, takes inspiration from a hustling and bustling Moroccan marketplace. Fantastic fabrications in rich colors of sand, mustard, burnt orange and maroon are highlighted with neon yellow, lime and blood orange. Expect to see pleated full skirts, soft lace and mesh, fragile georgettes and matte satins. We especially love the bralets in rich fabrics which are perfect when grouped with high-waisted shorts - just right for the summer festival season.
Another well-liked style will be the citrus yellow shorts teamed with the bralet and gray silk cape which can often be worn back to front for different effects. The white silk dress with short sleeves will be perfect for weekend picnics, shopping and BBQs "it's astonishingly fresh and light and will suit nearly any body type. The result is a tempting, high-fashion range which is accessible to the common fashionista.
The most recent November range from Cameo saw muted colours in antique moss and apricot combined with varied fabrications including rayon crepes, silk, linen and mesh. A very popular style was the Awaken Me Dress which was a warrior-like mini dress ruched in at the waist and featuring a cross-over style front. Teamed with a gold metal belt the look is one you can comfortably wear from day to evening without trouble.
Another preferred design was the Falling Down Shirt detailed with pink and cream panels in opposite effects on the front and back. Partnered with sequinned shorts, the effect is one which will see you thru the seasons with style.
